Beginning a new blog is awkward. Just to throw this out there, before I start typing away all those wonderful and exciting things that are happening right now.
Nick and I are getting ready to leave the country. I can't believe this is actually happening. My plane ticket is booked, Lucy is up to date with her shots, her paperwork will be finished very soon, and there are empty boxes piled up in Nick's office, screaming at me to pack them up.
We are used to transitions, but this is by far the most exciting one. One month from today, we will be in Berlin (Germany) and our belongings will be packed up in a storage unit in Baltimore.
To keep my sanity (and to be busy with something else than work), I have begun running at the beginning of March. Trust me, it's been a rough time. I started off, not being able to run to the end of the block. I took Lucy with me for the first 2 or 3 weeks, but she is not a big fan of exercise. Our last few trips ended with me dragging her behind me and people staring at me as I am pulling my dog down the street.
I have managed to run my first 6 mile run this week and had a second one of those yesterday. I'm not quite sure what I am doing here, but so far, it's been fun and considering me not running since elementary school, that's quite surprising.
With this blog, I am hoping to keep a log of my runs, and our travels across the ocean and I would love for you to move along with me!
